Nestled in the heart of Salzburg's glorious Radstädter Tauern mountains,
this is a place where you can gaze out in wonder at the magical
panoramas of a variety of Alpine ranges.
A place to experience the "ultimate high", where winter sports fans will
find perfect snow conditions from the end of November until the
beginning of May. State-of-the-art lifts will carry you up to the
slopes of the Tauernrunde, at elevations as high as 2526m above sea
level. Variety-packed runs (ideal for families, since it is possible for
families to ski down to the same lift base station, but via hills that
vary in difficulty),.
Pristine deep-snow slopes, accompanied by convivial après-ski activities
at the numerous ski lodges, guarantee winter vacations that are relaxing
and always have something new in store.
The ultimate wintertime fun on 100 km of groomed slopes, 26 km of
cross-country trails, plus winter hiking paths for young and old.
Every Wednesday beginning at 8:00 a.m., you can be one of the first to
cut your tracks across the untouched slopes served by the Gamsleiten and Zehnerkar
lifts, or
every Monday and Thursday from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., enjoy the unique
atmosphere of night-skiing by the Edelweissbahn.
If you are ever looking for a change of pace from skiing or
snowboarding, how about a snowshoe hike, a nighttime sledding
expedition, or a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride to the Twenger Lantschfeld
or the Gnadenalm.
